Law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and China held a joint operation against groups engaged in arms smuggling.It is reported , " Xinhua ," referring to the statement of the Ministry of Public Security of China.According to the agency , in the case of twenty-eight suspected were arrested , twenty-three of them - in China, three of them - in the U.S..Where they were detained two others not specified.However , Agence France-Presse , with reference to the same ministry said the twenty-six arrested .Among them was a sergeant of the U.S. National Guard , who found twelve weapons ( he was arrested in May ).The sergeant allegedly planned to smuggle arms to China.As a result of the operation were seized one hundred and five weapons, fifty,zero rounds of ammunition , as well as a large number of parts to build weapons.The investigation of the group went on for ten months.It began after the August two thousand and eleven at the International Airport of Shanghai had been confiscated to build parts of pistols and rifles brought from New York.According to the statement of the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, the Americans , who arrived in Shanghai for the investigation, was granted " unprecedented access to investigative information."
